Description
Lanzones is an edible tropical fruit native to the Southeastern parts of Asia. It contains vitamins A, B, C, thiamine, niacin, fiber, riboflavin, pantothenic acid, ascorbic acid, and other beneficial nutrients. And also it contains minerals such as iron, manganese, zinc, potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, copper, and calcium. The fruit can be elliptical, ovoid or round, measuring 1.5 to 7 cm in size. The fruit contains 1 to 3 seeds, flat, and bitter tasting; the seeds are covered with a thick, clear-white aril that tastes sweet and sour.
