Description
Dubbed as the “king of fruit”, durian is famous for its extremely delicious taste, peculiar appearance and offensive odor. Durians varies greatly in shape and size, generally ovoid or ovoid oblong to nearly round 30 cm (12 in) lengthy as well as 15 cm (6 in) in diameter and normally weighs one to four kilograms (two to seven lb.). They are green to yellowish-brown colored. Flesh is usually creamy-yellow to saffron color bulbs depending upon the species. They have sharply aromatic smell and strongly exotic taste. The seeds are sweet, creamy which varies in color from white, cream, yellow to golden yellow. The tree starts to bear fruit four to five years after planting.
